The uncanny valley hypothesis proposes human reaction to objects resembling human beings. Simulating human beings' key features: skeletons and skin, the hidden stainless steel structure and the covered silicone creates a mysterious and scary feeling.
The synthesized semi-human and semi-nonhuman vibe create a sense of strange familiarity, which echoes the impact of the uncanny valley.

A human is irreplaceable because he is human, but a human is still an animal, just like many others. Peak follows the ideology of Cloris's previous works, asking a question:

By synthesizing inanimate objects to create new creatures that include human features, can we avoid human supremacy?
